HEC S.A. is operating a plant for treating petroleum and marine west (MARPOL) products, in industrial area near the port of Piraeus. HEC is also collecting and recycling oil wastes from nearby refineries. The company assigned GIT to apply its technology for the liquid waste recycling. The Unit is including a series of flash evaporations and distillations to separate water, light and heavy petroleum fractions and is producing a marine fuel oil. GIT delivered the project on EPC contract.
